Andrew and Lydia stepped out of their car and I immediately started chatting with them like we had met a dozen times before. It took me about fifteen minutes to realize that we had actually never met in person and perhaps I needed to slow down! This is because they are a 'legacy couple'! What is a legacy couple you might ask? Allow me to elaborate.
Andrew's brother, Austin and his beautiful bride Jenna were one of my wedding couples this year! Now you might be thinking - then how have you all not met?! Well for that answer, you will have to ready Austin and Jenna's blog. - HA Anyway... although I had not met Andrew and Lydia formally, I had edited about 1500 photos that included them! So in my head I knew them already and proceeded as such. You see, this is why I LOVE legacy couples! Capturing multiple weddings with a family is like walking into a class reunion! I am excited to see everyone again and with each event they begin to feel more and more like family! Thankfully neither
Andrew or Lydia were too overwhelmed by my lack of introduction, so we laughed about it and headed out to find our first location.
Andrew and Lydia chose White Sulphur Springs for their engagement session because it was where they first met! From fifteen year olds attending a leadership camp to the beautiful couple they have become, the setting was extra special!
Andrew + Lydia will tie the knot in December of 2025.
I am so excited to celebrate with them and to capture my very first December wedding! (I am secretly hoping for a little snow!) Their ceremony will take place in Dunnings Creek and their reception will be held at the beautiful Hall at Kinton's Knob!
Thank you guys for hiking all over White Sulphur Springs with me!
